This home was transformed with a new kitchen addition, new his and hers offices, screened porch and elegant living room bar.
The original galley kitchen was relocated to a brand new addition, allowing the family to take advantage of the beautiful backyard views and provide easy access to the new pool. The new space allows for a seamless flow between the main living areas of the house and the outdoor entertaining areas. French doors leading to the back yard and new screened porch fill the space with natural light. White cabinetry, countertops and tile backsplash give the space a fresh, clean look.
For his office, we transformed an existing utility room. A new floor system was framed and new hardwoods installed to match those in the adjacent living room. The custom bookcase provides ample storage and exposed brick wall and wood beams across the ceiling give the space a warm, masculine feel. Her office is where the home’s original kitchen was located. A simple but elegant built-in desk provides the perfect workspace and built-in cabinetry on the opposite wall offers much needed storage. Pocket doors allow for the room to be open to the rest of the house, or closed off for privacy.
The back of this home got a complete makeover. The old, covered brick patio was removed to make way for the new kitchen addition and a new screened porch. The new porch offers easy access to both the kitchen and new backyard pool, making entertaining a breeze.
